RootBeerMaster asked:
I have to say that is one of the best episodes of the Batman I hav ever seen, no The Batman is not has good has Batman cartoon of the 90s but i thought that was the best episode of The Batman so far. I really liked Lex Luther's comment no way Bat in a tin can can stop the man of steel. What did any one think of it? did any one else see the batman vs superman and what was your thoughts? was it good or bad? I really enjoyed there battle and was wondering if any one thought it was good to or if it could have been better?

I agree that this current “The Batman” cartoon series is not as good as the series in the 90s. The current one is very stylized and action-packed, but I don’t think the creative team exhibits as strong writing for the story lines. They’ve preempted characterization for a lot of slick action scenes. It seems their targeting a younger demographic.
It was fun, but I don’t think it compares to the Superman/Batman animated movie. The feeling of clashing egos and brinkmanship were played like a chess game in the movie. In the episode to which you’re referring, that tension was only highlighted sporadically. Plus the rivalry really doesn’t count if Superman is mind-controlled!
Although Bruce Wayne showing up in Clark Kent’s apartment to return the “favor” of exposing his identity was a fanboy moment to enjoy.
By the by, I wonder how Bruce Timm (the voice actor for the 90s series) feels about so many actors coming back to reprise their roles (the voice actors for Superman, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor are all the same from Superman Adventures and Justice League Unlimited), but not him!

I thought it was a fight that many people were waiting to see. It would’ve been really cool if Batman created the kryptonite ring and fought Superman that way but I guess the Batarmor was a way for kids to get toys. But in any case, I’m really liking this incarnation of Batman. A little too much hi-tech gadgets but enjoyable nonetheless. I’m looking forward to the rest of the season.
