batman comic books
Kitty☆★ asked:

i've always had an unhealthy love of Batman and i wanted it to spead over into comics. i've been to a comic book store once and i'm not sure if they even make Batman comic anymore and if they do should i just start with current issues and then go back and get the back issues or should i start with the back issues and catch myself up with the new ones?

  2. Batman is still around in comic books. You got his main books: Batman and Detective Comics, and his other books: Batman & the Outsiders and Justice League of America. Also, there is an All-Star Batman & Robin which is a retelling of the Batman story (similar to the Marvel Ultimate comics)

You could start either way as far as back issues or current issues. I would recommend the back issues (or trade paperback since they will usually contain the complete storyline). Try Batman Year One, Batman The Dark Knight Returns, Batman The Long Halloween, or Batman Death in the City.

If you do want to start with the new comics, a new storyline has started called Batman RIP but it will be spread over to other comics such as Robin & Nightwing. You may want to ask your local comic store to hold the issues for you if its more convenient.
