  4. comics now! is a pretty good site if you’re in the US, less so good for international now that they’ve changed their shipping prices. In the UK forbidden planet is a great choice, but they don’t ship internationally at the moment.
You can always try ebay, but that can be hit and miss.

  5. There are quite a few discount comic book services on the net.

Westfield comics has been around for decades.
Mile high has a pull service.
Im sure you could research many other sites.

Ebay is always a choice, but you’d have to check the seller feedback, and it is not an option for an ongoing subscription.

Comic book conventions are in many US cities. They often have dealers who do new issue service.

Subscribing from marvel directly is also an option. you can usually get them cheaper than cobver price when you buy a year.

A decent option is to go with the graphic novels. Most new series are eventually put into GN’s. You can find these discounted on amazon or overstock.com

    good luck!

  6. It sounds like you are just looking for new comics, so I would suggest Marvel.com’s subscription service since they provide between a 39%-54% discount on their subscriptions. The highest discount that I know of other than that is only like 35%, so theirs is pretty good. I actually don’t buy mine from them so I couldn’t tell you how good their service is though.

You can also try your local comic book store. Some of them will give discounts to their subscribers, and I had one store in the previous town that I lived in that actually gave a 35% discount.

The website that I use is this one:

You can subscribe to just about any comic book out there from these guys and I’ve never had any complaints about their service (that they didn’t fix for free) in 5 or 6 years of buying from them. Depending on how many subscriptions you get, you can get up to a 35% discount including on all the variant covers if you’re into that. The best part about them is that you don’t have to actually purchase a years worth of comics ahead of time, you subscribe to any title that you want and if you decide that you don’t like it, you can cancel it just as easily.

If you are also looking for backissues, the number one place is a comic book convention. I’ve purchased $15-20 comics for $1 there cuz most of the dealers are just trying to get rid of their excess inventory.

Second would be Ebay depending on the comics that you’re getting. Spider-Man, X-Men and other popular comics are going to cost more on Ebay, while less popular stuff can be purchased for way less. I once bought a hundred some issues of X-Force on there for $5 plus $5 or $10 shipping and handling, so there are definitely some really good deals on there if you can find them.

Third, some comic book stores have dollar bins that will have some really good stuff sometimes. Also online classified adds like craigslist will have some really good deals from people trying to get rid of their comics either in bulk or separately for anywhere from 25 cents to a dollar each.
