I only have a 2006 Chevrolet Impala, and I think that it would take a lot of work to convert it to the Batmobile. I am looking for another car which would not be so difficult to convert to the Batmobile.

I kinda think the Lam would look more like it but too much money..Or a Dodge Charger? Still..there has to be a lot of modifications.

you should do some looking around for the specs that Alex Ross used to make his batmobile. he’s a painter that does comics and they’re uber-lifelike. its unreal stuff. he built a car into the batmobile based off the original batmobile from the comics, its old school, and pretty sweet. when you think about batman in a realistic way, he wouldnt be showing off his car, he’d want it not to stand out, and thats kinda the idea around this car, its just black and scary looking.
if you cant find it on the net, look for the “Alex Ross: Mythology” book. theres a 2 page spread on it in there. good luck!

depends…which year are we talking? the original batman show?? if so, then i think it’s a 70′s oldsmobile. But i have no idea about the newer ones. Just tint the Impala’s windows and put a giant yellow batman sticker on the back window….not kidding, that’s what someone around here did to a pontiac grand prix and it looks pretty sweet. the car needs to be black though.
Look up Batmobile and see the car’s that Hollywood converted.Then go from there. Or just paint your Chevy black with red pen striping and a Batman sticker.Later when the excitement of the movie dies’s down take the Batman sticker off and replace it with a signature of Daile Earnhardt.
Converting any car to the Batmobile is an exercise in fiberglassing to surrealistic dimensions. Be prepared to spend many, many, many hours and umpteen thousands of dollars making molds, glassing, sanding, priming, painting, buffing, et cetera. Why not just forget the idea and buy a sporty car that drives well and gets good gas mileage?

Was’nt the original BATMOBILE a Lincoln?
eBay has several old Town Cars cheap, too.
It really depends on which Batmobile you want to copy. The ’60s TV one was based on a Lincoln Futura concept car, but you won’t be able to find one of those. The one from the Tim Burton movie was based on a ’70s Chevy Impala, but did not use any of the bodywork. If I were building either of these, I would probably try to get my hands on an ’80s or ’90s Caprice. These are body on frame cars where you can remove the body and put a handbuilt Batmobile body on them.
Your current Impala is a unibody – the drivetrain and suspension bolt to the bodywork, which is stiffened to behave like a frame. Most cars these days use that design, and it’s much harder to do extreme bodywork changes to such cars.
Now, if you want to clone the weird military assault vehicle from Batman Begins, that thing was custom built. You probably wouldn’t be able to use any production car as a starting point for that. My advice if you wanted to clone one of those would be to get yourself a big stack of tubing and a welder.

The Pontiac Trans AM is probably your best bet. Any WS6 from 98-02 that is black would be perfect. The size, lines, and hood on that car is very intimidating and the 5.7 LS1 goes right with the looks. The T-Tops are also an added bonus

Since it was a 2 seat roadster, start with that…your choice of one you can afford. Body doesn’t matter but frame and engine should be in good shape.
A c4 Corvette might not be a bad start although it looks sort of Knightriderish from the front.
A rusty mustang might work also. Probably a cheaper deal.
Check out georgebarris.com for pix of the real thing. The starting point was a concept car from 1955. Hardly an ebay item. Originally it started off as a $250,000 1955 Ford Lincoln Futura concept car.
