Okay Im not exactly sure how to explain this, but I'll give it a shot.
A few months ago whenever I would be in my room or waiting for the computer alone I started daydreaming, but while i was daydreaming I would pace back and forth across the room.
Now recently whenever I do this not only do I pace but I'll start acting out and saying whatever I am in my daydream, and even acting out some of the other people or charachters from my dreams.
(Example#1: The pacing -After writing that sentence above I got up and walked across the room and came back and sat down, And didnt even realize it until I got finished with the sentence below.)
(Example#2: The acting and talking to myself- All day long Ive been acting out a made up charachter from one of my daydreams as one of the jokers henchmen from The new Batman Movie... Which by the way is very awkward when your parents walk in and your pretending to be some giggling psychotic criminal... or a ninja... or a vampire... charachter from a tv show, movie, book, or whatever else I decide to "dream" about that day.)
Most of the time I dont even realize Im doing it until after a few minutes...
But anytime someone walks into the room I imedeatly stop and try to cover up what I was doing. I dont really know why I hide it, I just do.
And if someone is in the room with me when this happens... I go into another room for just a few minutes "daydream" then come back.
Anyways onto the question:
I was just wondering if I should be worried about this or if its a bad thing, especially since half of the time I dont realize Im doing it, or is it common, or do I have some type of disorder or something?

I do stuff like that sometimes… a little less extreme though.
You probably have ADD, which is okay.
You also probably need a creative outlet and some more sleep at night. Try drawing or writing out your daydreams on paper.
Oh, and lay off the sugar, artificial dyes, energy drinks, etc. That always makes me daydream more.

I see nothing wrong with it.You obviously have self esteem issues because you appear not to be content with what you are and you want to be more then you are by acting as a character from a movie.I assume you are a teen.Inadequately high self esteem is a problem most teens face and it passes eventually when we find what we do best.
Your daydreaming would be a problem if you daydreamed while doing something dangerous like riding a bike. You could crash and die.As long as it is limited to your room i would not worry about it.
I assume you cover up your acting because you fear that others will think you have psychological problems or that you might be insane.Your fear is justified. You never know what others really think.
Daydreaming is a very common phenomenon.

There is nothing wrong with daydreaming. Most things/inventions/accomplishments/achievements/ideas are all products of daydreams. My advice: keep on daydreaming. Don’t be affected by the bad things people say about your daydreaming, because your daydreams might become give you the ideas that might help change our world.
